Community Engagement

JOYN’s Commitment to Community

Volunteering is in our DNA. We are committed to doing what’s right and giving back to our community is a core principle of what we stand for – it enriches our lives and the lives of others.

JOYN’s Pitchfest Program

In 2018, the JOYN family launched PITCHFEST – a community service program where JOYN staff and clients can present to the entire team a community service project that they are passionate about and ask for support. Voting is conducted, a winner is announced, and the team joins together for a day filled with fun and service.

Additionally, JOYN makes a financial contribution or matching donation to the volunteer charity to double our team’s collective impact.

Here are just a few of the community service projects we have supported:

The Backpack Project Atlanta

For the second consecutive year, the JOYN family came together in support of the Backpack Project, a UGA student-run nonprofit that aims to ease the burden of homelessness through providing backpacks filled with donated essential supplies to our Georgia homeless community and connecting them with service providers.

The JOYN staff, family, friends, and clients also united in support of the Backpack Project to raise over $5,465 – funding nearly 274 complete backpacks through a successful fundraising effort.

HouseProud Atlanta

In June 1st, JOYNers gathered in southwest Atlanta to help low-income senior, veteran, and disabled Atlanta homeowners make crucial home repairs so they can age in place in their communities.
