Content & Digital Marketing Manager

Are you a whip-smart, savvy, and well-rounded digital marketer jonesing to join a company that’s dramatically repositioning after 25 years? (That’s us!) We’re looking for a talented digital marketing manager to create, launch, and optimize provocative lead generation, branding & engagement campaigns for niche consumer and business audiences. Your top priorities are CPC, email and content campaigns, but we’re ambitiously building a visionary, trailblazing, bold and witty new brand that demands raw marketing talent — you’ll help us bring it to life!

Start date: ASAP

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop, execute and optimize creative lead-gen, engagement and branding campaigns
  2. Design, implement & optimize regular email communication programs (newsletters, nurture/engagement programs, campaigns)
  3. Develop creative assets for campaigns (including text/display ads, content offers, articles, landing pages, email newsletters, HTML message templates, social content)
  4. Managing editor for website, newsletter, blog, social and other digital content
  5. Plan and execute tests to evaluate business hypotheses and produce continuous improvement
  6. Manage outside PR, content, design and/or web development firms
  7. Monitor and improve website performance
  8. Collaborate with the JOYN team to imagine, uncover, test and pursue new programs that build our thought-leadership, brand, client experience and business performance
  9. Train/coach other team members to support this role as needed

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or a related field
  • 8-10 years of hands-on digital marketing experience including
    • 8+ years of email marketing experience
    • 6+ years of paid lead generation experience (3 of which must be in the last 3 years)
    • 6+ years successfully managing outside vendors to produce A-quality work
  • Demonstrable success implementing & optimizing campaigns that generate qualified leads via PPC, email, content, retargeting, PR, etc.
  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills with a portfolio to back it up
  • Quickly grasps complex concepts (bonus if you can make them simple!)
  • Hands-on expertise in the important technologies to get the job done well
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS5, responsive design and “mobile-first”
  • Experience designing A/B & multivariate tests
  • Excellent problem solver AND collaborator
  • Communicates with confidence, sincerity and a sense of humor
  • Able to think strategically, adapt with ease and take on new responsibilities
