On International Women’s Day, JOYN’s Chief Investment Officer Aradhana Kejriwal, CFA® was in New York to attend the Investment News “Women to Watch 2017” awards luncheon at the Pierre Hotel.
“What a joy to celebrate International Women’s Day with incredible women from our industry,” said Kejriwal. “It’s so inspiring to meet other successful women, to see them getting the accolades they deserve, and to hear their stories about how they have integrated their home and careers.”
In her acceptance speech, 2017 Women to Watch award winner Hollie Fagan shared her thoughts on being a woman in finance: “You can’t do it alone, whether we’re talking about friends to carpool with or an advisory council.”
Aradhana couldn’t agree more. “Our jobs are challenging enough – it would be impossible if we didn’t help each other.”
The event honored 21 outstanding women professionals; it also featured a think tank discussion on how the industry can attract and retain more female financial advisers.
“I’m passionate about promoting gender diversity in finance,” Aradhana emphasized. “I believe in having the smartest people making investment decisions, regardless of their gender.”
Aradhana also recently attended the Global Conference for Alpha and Gender Diversity: The Competitive Edge in Boston.
