Executive VP, Client Experience & Operations

Amy Oguntala is one of the rare people who genuinely enjoys Monday mornings.  She’s also been caught trying to list “work” as a hobby, making it very hard to slow her down.

It was serendipitous that while delivering omni-channel transformations at Accenture, she learned of JOYN and the innovative approach JOYN has developed for its wealth management clients.

“Events and aspects of our world don’t occur in isolation. Neither do events and aspects of personal and work lives,” Amy explains. “Everything we are, and everything we do, is connected to some other piece of ourselves, our families, our passions, our communities. What attracted me to JOYN was the firm’s fresh approach to financial advising that really engaged this wholeness of human nature.”

Amy has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry and has held multiple strategic roles at Accenture, SunTrust, and Freedom Mortgage. Throughout her career, she has been obsessed with improving the client experience and has been instrumental in delivering results within Operations and Technology. She also has extensive expertise implementing Agile transformations.

For someone with Amy’s drive and skillset, the chance to work on JOYN’s client-centric programs was an exciting opportunity she just couldn’t pass up.

“Everything we do at JOYN is centered around the client,” Amy says. “It’s our job to organize our teams and employ cutting-edge technology in a manner that best serves our clients.”

When Amy does take a break from work, it’s usually to travel. This wanderlust may be partially due to her frequent moves as a child – she lived in Africa, Asia, and several states across the U.S. It could also be from her multicultural upbringing. Whatever the source, Amy has a nomadic spirit that can be satisfied only by looking toward her next destination.

When travel isn’t an option or when she gets kicked out of the office, Amy enjoys spending time at home with her husband, two step-daughters, and two dogs.

Amy earned her BBA from Temple University and an MBA from the University of Florida.
