Heidi brings a fresh perspective to her work at JOYN. As a Master of Social Work and Master of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Heidi sees the world through a different prism than most other professionals at JOYN. As such, she brings a unique set of skills to her two areas of expertise: human resources and behavioral wealth management.
“I’m passionate about providing employees with opportunities to be their best selves, and I’m excited to accomplish that through my HR role. I also really enjoy training JOYN employees on the company’s unique approach to wealth management. As a social worker, I understand how the human factor affects our decision-making process; it’s gratifying to be with a firm that recognizes our humanity and helps clients de-escalate stressful situations. JOYN’s holistic Behavioral Wealth Management philosophy, process, and tools really resonate with me – and more importantly, with our clients.”

It’s no secret that Heidi is married to JOYN’s CEO and Co-Founder, David Geller. “When I first met David, I was impressed by how deeply he cared for his family, his colleagues and his clients. Seeing and hearing about how JOYN is growing its business makes me even more excited to formally be part of the team.”
When she’s not working, Heidi enjoys traveling with David, taking their dog Rocky for walks, spending time with her step-kids, and puttering in her garden. “I’m no expert, but I do enjoy planting a few tomato plants every year.”
Travel has taken the happy couple and their extended family to some wonderful, exotic destinations, including Africa, and most recently, China. Heidi loves learning about new cultures. But as a true Texan, Heidi likes her football games in person. She and David have traveled to Michigan to cheer on “Big Blue” and to Austin to see the Texas Longhorns.

Though Texas will always hold a special place in her heart, Heidi has put down roots in the couple’s Druid Hills neighborhood – so much that her parents recently moved from Texas to Atlanta. Heidi looks forward to being able to enjoy shabbat dinners together more often.
