Sergio De La Torre joined JOYN from Fidelity Investments, where he most recently served as a Vice President and Senior Financial Consultant working primarily with Fidelity’s high net worth clients and complex financial planning issues (tax, estate, succession planning). He spent the majority of his career with Fidelity and has more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry.
Sergio’s work at Fidelity earned him a number of prestigious accolades:
- Eight time recipient of the Fidelity Achievement Award
- Three time recipient of Fidelity’s Excellence in Action Award
- Graduate of Fidelity’s highly coveted Branch Leadership Development Program (a nationwide program limited to 20 nominees)
- 2015 graduate of the Practice Management Institute
Sergio chose to move from Fidelity in May 2016 thanks to JOYN’s innovative model, Behavioral Wealth Management.
“The financial industry pays far too little attention to the critical hard-wired human behaviors that affect financial planning, communication and decision-making,” he emphasized. “JOYN does far more than just pay attention; the firm has invested many years developing a scientifically-based, full-fledged process designed to help clients use their wealth to create more extraordinary lives.”
“I was thrilled to discover that working with JOYN would allow me to fulfill my goal of making a meaningful difference for my clients and their families over the long term,” he continued. “I believe JOYN is the first wealth management firm to incorporate the psychology and science of Behavioral Economics & Behavioral Finance to create Behavioral Wealth Management.”
